Description
Operated by two subsidiaries of US Steel, the Pittsburgh Steamship Company, and the Bradley Transportation Company for the first 71 years. She was christened the Myron C. Taylor after one of the directors of US Steel, Myron Charles Taylor.

Originally powered by a triple expansion steam engine, the ship was repowered with a Nordberg FS-1316-HSC four stroke diesel during the winter of 1967/68.

In 2001 the ship was sold to Grand River Navigation Co., (Cleveland, Ohio) an affiliate of Lower Lakes Towing Ltd; along with the Calcite II. The ship was christened Calumet on April 21, 2001 (along with the Calcite II that became Maumee and the George A. Sloan that became Mississagi).

On November 18, 2007 the Calumet sailed to Port Colborne, to be scrapped. The Calument was shifted to the International Marine Salvage's south salvage berth on November 20th.
