Sold in 1970 to Canadian Dredge & Dock Co. along with 2 other retired Great Lakes vessels, Kinsman Venture and Lackawanna for use as a temporary breakwater at Nanticoke, Ontario. Ontario Hydro was building a new power plant there and required the ships sunk just off shore to protect the shore side construction site.

Raised in 1973 following completion of the power plant construction and towed to Toronto, Ontario. In June of 1974 she was sunk again as a breakwater at Port Credit, Ontario.
