Description
Severely damaged on 21 January 1978 in fire while in winter layup at Capital No. 4 grain elevator of International Multifoods Corporation at Duluth, Minnesota. Fire apparently started previous evening by workmen performing maintenance work on the elevator. The fire destroyed the wooden elevator, which collapsed onto the forward cabins of the vessel. She was abandoned as a constructive total loss and sold for scrap to Hyman Michaels Company.
