Description
She was abandoned by her crew of 31 when she developed a list and started taking on water during a storm when she was about 425 miles SSE of Cape Race, Newfoundland, Canada. At the time she was on a voyage from Freeport, Texas to Helsinki, Finland. Only 2 survivors were picked up during the rescue operation while 29 were lost. She sank later the same day.
