Description
Great Lakes Vessel History site - Traded in 1943 with six other vessels of the fleet to U. S. War Shipping Administration to fund the purchase of the new steamers, Sewell Avery, George A. Sloan and Robert C. Stanley. Zenith City operated during World War II by the Pittsburgh Steamship Company. She finally laid up for the last time at the end of 1944 season at Erie Pennsylvania. Sold for scrap 1946 to Steel Company of Canada then towed to Hamilton, Ontario during Oct of 1946 and scrapped there in 1947.
