Description
Sank about 100 miles S.E. of the mouth of the River Mississippi in a position 27.55N. 88.26W. after three explosions in the engine room. The ship was being towed to New Orleans at the time after developing rudder trouble whilst on a voyage from Acajutia, El Salvador to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
