Description
- 1 June 1983 - Whitefish Bay was credited with hauling the 1 billionth metric tonne of cargo through the Eisenhower Lock of the St. Lawrence Seaway at Massena, New York, USA. She was hauling a cargo of 950,000 bushels of spring wheat at the time.
- December 1989 - She laid up at Sorel, Quebec for the last time.
- 30 September 1992 - She departed Montreal in tandem with her former fleetmate, Stadacona behind the Russian deep sea tug, Umka.
- 30 October 1992 - the tow departed an unknown port in Argentina where Whitefish Bay had been loaded with a cargo of scrap steel.
- 4 January 1993 - The tow passed Honolulu, Hawaii enroute to China.
