A.S. Glossbrenner
A.S. Glossbrenner - Welland Canal - August 8, 1970

On 8 August 1970, back when A.S. Glossbrenner was still pretty much a new ship, Al Sagon-King photographed her while she was entering the Welland Canal from Lake Ontario at Port Weller piers. Shown in her original Labrador Steamship Company colours she was enroute likely from Labrador or eastern Quebec with a cargo of iron ore pellets for one of the many steel mills that used to dot the shores of Lake Erie.
