Charlie - Verchères, Quebec - January 14, 1990 |
|
Greek-flag Acari Sg Co Ltd bulker Charlie (ex-Happy Valley, 81-87, ex-Washu, 75-81) downbound on the St. Lawrence River off Verchères on January 14, 1990. I believe this was the last photo ever taken of this ship as it sank with all hands in the North Atlantic 6 days after I photographed her in -25°C temps. She was on her way from Montréal to Ceuta with a load of grain. |
