When Catalina did that trip to the Lakes in 1986, she was not Canadian-flagged anymore although her owner was Logistec Corporation. Her home port had been changed to George Town, Cayman Islands and she sported a green funnel.

René photographed her in her new livery at the lower wall of the St.Lambert lock on May 27, 1986. He then took her while she was downbound at Montréal from the Seaway on June 7, 1986. She was loaded down to her marks with a bulk cargo presumably grain. CATALINA previouly had been laid up at Sorel from June 21, 1985 until when she was refitted for that trip to the Lakes.
