The very beginning of a new Canadian Lake Freighter Fleet. The ex J. Burton Ayers has just departed from the shipyard under tow of the Gaelic tug Shannon. The tow is bound for Sarnia, Ontario where she will undergo fitout and painting. She sails today as the Cuyahoga for the Lower Lakes Fleet. Look how far this fleet has come since 1995. |
