Since broken up, O.H. Perry-class guided-missile frigate U.S.S. Stark (FFG-31) as shown while upbound on the St. Lawrence River off Varennes, Québec, on June 30, 1985.
She was on her way to the Great Lakes on a two-month fresh water cruise. She made the headlines in March 1987 when she was hit by two Iraki Exocet missiles in the Persian Gulf which nearly sank her. |
