Nunakput and Alex Gordon in Tuk. These shallow draft ships, such as the Nunakput, had hanging rudders as they were not deep enough for standard rudder construction. There would be two sets of rudders, one on each side. Each set would have 2 or 3 rudders controlled by the same gear. |
