Saginaw - Approaches to Marquette, Michigan, USA - April 7, 2003 |
|
Saginaw was one of three ships being escorted into Marquette, Michigan by CCGS Samuel Risley to open the 2003 shipping season. The Samuel Risley had first to prepare a track through the ice into the port and then assist the ships through the ice. Of course, the ice melted after a few weeks and the water stayed ice-free until late in the year. |
