Anna Desgagnés (ex-Truskavets, 85-96) as shown while downbound on the St. Lawrence River off Varennes on August 17, 2006. The Bioship logo on her hull means that she was then experimenting a new fuel mixture on one of her four generators which is called B20 and which is made up of 20% biodiesel and 80% petrodiesel. The objective is to reduce polluting and greenhouse gas emissions. The ship has since been broken up. |
